FORMER SAINTS PLAYER OPENS RESTAURANT

By Kristen Anzuini | WXXV Channel 25

It was an exciting day at the Boomtown Casino in Biloxi. Former Saints player Deuce McAllister held a ribbon cutting for his brand new restaurant.Saints fans and food lovers can rejoice! Former Saints and Ole Miss running back Deuce McAllister’s new restaurant Ole Saint Kitchen and Tap is now open in Biloxi.

“I’m excited about it. It has been a work in progress and something that we have been working on and building to and I’m excited to bring something like this to Biloxi,” said McAllister.

This is the second Ole Saint location. The restaurant is located inside the Boomtown Casino right next to the Sportsbook. Biloxi Mayor FoFo Gilich said, “It’s just part of an experience that anyone can enjoy, visitors or regulars. Boomtown has been here for a while and it has its little niche and the experience you can have here with gaming and with betting, the sports book and just good food.”

Although the restaurant has a lot of New Orleans flare, many of the menu items are sourced locally. “Being able to buy a lot of the stuff locally from local farmers you talk about the sea food all of that is being bought here locally and I think that is important for us as well,” said McAllister.

Over 100 people showed up for the ribbon cutting and if you would like to try out the food and drinks, the restaurant will be open seven days a week. “I think it’s important to be able to have something here for the fan base because they have always supported New Orleans so this is truly an extension when you talk about the Saints and you can see that as well in our menu.”
