KENNER, La. (June 12, 2015) —PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans (PJ’s) continues its growth within the Ochsner Health System with its newest non-traditional location at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner. The new café opened on Monday, June 8th. A proud partner since 2011, PJ’s Coffee currently operates in three additional Ochsner locations—Ochsner Baptist, Ochsner Medical Center’s West Bank Campus, and Ochsner Medical Center’s Main Campus. This growing partnership is just one example of the company’s continued non-traditional success throughout the United States.
“Over 55% of PJ’s store growth in the past two years has been attributed to our non-traditional locations,” says Ryan Stansbury, Franchise Development Director for PJ’s Coffee. “Customers are seeking quality beverage options beyond traditional coffee shops. Our model gives us the opportunity to provide customers with high-quality products in convenient settings; from college campuses to health care facilities, from early airports to hotels. In addition to the medical sector, PJ’s has placed emphasis on non-traditional growth in universities, hotels, military bases, casinos and airports. Specifically, PJ’s operations on college campuses have seen much success, including two locations on Tulane University’s campus– both in the top 5 grossing retail locations of all PJ’s stores.

The Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner will be open Sunday – Monday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and will feature a wide selection of beverages and food, including hot coffee, famous iced coffee, frozen beverages, organic tea and freshly baked pastries. Currently in-season this summer at PJ’s are new flavored iced tea “Tea Mixers,” sold in three refreshing flavors (Habanero Breeze, Green Tea Mojito and Ginger Peach Palmer) and PJ’s popular Southern Wedding Cake blend, available now through August 30th.
